It's Monday, office day. As usual I am starting the day with making a cup of coffee, starting up the computer, answering e-mails and check the statistics. What do I see ? The statistics are changed. Lets see what is changed:
Three weeks ago the most popular country was Germany
At this moment the songs are popular in the Netherlands, Australia and in the US
Three weeks ago the best selling song was, Sunrise, Boom in your Face and Come Come
At this moment the best selling songs are, Trance project x, Cupcakes and Melodies of Life.
Like we predicted in our previous blog (our first quarter sales statement) we saw potential for growth, that is happening right now. By buying, streaming, watching our youtube video's and subscribing to our channels you are supporting the artist directly.
Therefore we would like to take this moment to thank you all for your support, this encourage to do more music so you all can enjoy it.
We've got our first quarter sales statement. This is the most critical moment for us, quit or continue ? Most important question is are we able to generate revenues ? Our philosophy is that the songs need to have potential by themself without spending load of marketing on it. We work with some quality tools, to achieve that.
1. Our songs are made by the KISS principle what means that it has to be simple and straightforward.
2 Our songs are always treaded with the best analog gear to give our songs a warmth that cannot be accomplished by software.
3. Our songs are always mastered by industry's standard mastering engineers.
Is this method working ? So are we viable, without spending load of marketing on it ?
To answer this question we have to take a closer look at our statistics:
Which songs are generating revenues ? In other words which songs ar popular at this moment ?
In which countries are the revenues generated ?
How are the revenues split ?

In conclusion: For us this is a major succes the songs are generating revenues. Are we able to generate revenues without spending load of marketing on it ? Yes. Does it have potential ? Yes for sure. But what about music and licensing what so special about it ? I can talk hours about this subject. Is it complicated ? Yes it can be complicated, because it has everything to do with law. Law, can be complicated and booooring. So to avoid boringness, unnecessary complicity i will sum some important things up.
As a songwriter in a stand alone situation you have and own 100% of the copyright. That copyright includes also that you have the right to give people permission to use your song(s) (intellectual property) in their projects without you giving your ownership away (licensing) . The best metaphor for licensing is, someone is the owner of a house (property) and give's you the permission to hire a room.
You can license your property exclusive to someone what means nobody else can use your work in their projects or non exclusive what is the opposite.
So what is, so special about it ? Someone liked your work and want to complete their project, thats a ultimate way of sharing and compliment. In the end it is all about sharing and make people happy.

Wall S passion for music started at young age. At 16 years old he participated at a dj competition organized by a local broadcasting for community centers.
After the broadcast his bookings rased, he played as dj's at gig’s, from companies like ID&T. Wall S, started to produce music and collaborate with twice a almost getting singed.
After fail-led negotiations he decided to focus on his study. Now years later he finished his law degree and got his focus back on music
